About this service
WC fixing covers the everyday faults — a pan that wobbles, a base that weeps after every flush, a cistern that won’t hold water, a flush handle that has snapped. We don’t always need to replace the whole WC. Re-bedding the pan with a fresh wax ring, replacing the cistern fill valve and flush valve as a pair, and re-anchoring the pan with new bolts handles most cases. Full replacement is only the right call when the pan itself has cracked.
Common symptoms we see
- Pan wobbling under weight
- Water seeping at the base after flush
- Cistern won’t hold water — empties slowly
- Flush handle snapped or weak
How we do it
- 1Diagnose: pan, gasket, cistern internals, or anchor bolts
- 2Re-bed pan, replace gasket, or replace cistern parts
- 3Re-anchor with new bolts; re-seal with silicone
- 4Run a full flush cycle; verify no leak at base
Materials we use
Wax-ring soil seals, brass anchor bolts, silicone, cistern fill-and-flush replacement kits.
Typical duration
1–2 hours depending on which component has failed.
Safety & quality
We disconnect cistern supply before opening the cistern — no surprise sprays.
Frequently asked questions
My WC base leaks only sometimes — why?
Failing wax ring. Leaks happen when the soil pipe is full briefly. Replace the ring — straightforward fix.
Can a cracked WC pan be repaired?
Hairline cracks in the cistern can sometimes be epoxy-sealed. Cracked pan needs replacement.
My cistern hisses constantly — fix?
Failed fill valve. Replace it as a pair with the flush valve while the cistern is open.
