About this service
Refitting existing overhead or underground tanks — replacing the tank itself when it cracks or scales beyond cleaning, upgrading from a smaller tank to a larger one, or redoing the inlet, outlet and overflow plumbing without disturbing the tank. Common Jaipur job is replacing a 15-year-old Sintex tank where the lid has gone brittle and the inlet float has corroded; the rest of the platform and pipework is still good and we reuse it.
Common symptoms we see
- Old tank cracked or seeping at the base
- Lid disintegrating from UV exposure
- Want to upgrade size without rebuilding the platform
- Inlet plumbing failed but tank is still fine
How we do it
- 1Drain and remove old tank
- 2Inspect platform and reinforce if needed
- 3Set new tank or rebuild plumbing
- 4Fill, leak-check, verify ball cock and overflow
Materials we use
Replacement HDPE tanks, brass ball cocks, gate valves, UPVC pipe for fresh inlet/outlet/overflow.
Typical duration
3–4 hours for tank-only swap; longer for full plumbing refit.
Safety & quality
Old tanks can hide weakened platforms — we inspect the platform and refuse to drop a new tank onto a cracked slab.
Frequently asked questions
Can I reuse the old tank stand?
If it is structurally sound, yes. We inspect and report.
How long does a Sintex tank last in Jaipur?
12–15 years for body; lids can fail sooner. UV is the killer.
Will you dispose of the old tank?
Yes — we cart it away. Old plastic tanks are recycled through scrap channels.
