About this service
Internal pipeline work covers everything inside the wall and slab — fresh-water supply runs from the main to each fixture, and drain runs from each fixture to the soil stack. We use CPVC for hot-and-cold supply and UPVC for drains, hot-saw cuts (not hacksaw) for clean square ends, and solvent-weld every joint with proper cure time before pressure test. Slope on drain runs is verified with a spirit level on every metre.
Common symptoms we see
- Damp patch on internal wall with no obvious source
- Renovation needs new supply and drain layout
- Old GI pipes corroded and need full replacement
- Adding a new fixture in an existing bathroom
How we do it
- 1Mark the run and chase the wall as needed
- 2Cut, deburr and dry-fit all joints
- 3Solvent-weld with proper cure time
- 4Pressure-test at 1.5× working pressure for 30 minutes
Materials we use
CPVC pipe and fittings (Astral, Supreme, Ashirvad), UPVC drain pipe (110/75/50 mm), solvent cement, jute and PTFE for threaded transitions to brass.
Typical duration
4–8 hours per bathroom or kitchen depending on layout.
Safety & quality
Cured CPVC needs 2 hours minimum before pressure test — we never rush the cure.
Frequently asked questions
CPVC vs UPVC for hot water?
CPVC. UPVC will deform under hot water and is for drains only.
Will you chase the wall or do I need a mason?
We do the chase. Re-plastering is a finishing job — we co-ordinate but don’t plaster ourselves on a per-fixture call.
How do you find a leak inside the wall?
Acoustic listening + pressure-drop test on isolated branches. Once we narrow the location to within a metre, we open just the right tile.
