About this service
Diverters route hot-and-cold mixed water from a single mixer to multiple outlets — typically the shower head, the hand shower and a bath spout. The spindle wears, the o-rings perish, or the cartridge gets sticky from hard water. We replace the cartridge through the wall plate without breaking tile, lubricate with food-grade silicone grease, and verify clean switching between outlets without crossover.
Common symptoms we see
- Diverter handle hard to turn or stuck
- Water comes from two outlets at once
- Drip from one outlet when diverter is set to another
- Handle spins freely without engaging
How we do it
- 1Shut supply at angle valve
- 2Remove handle and wall plate; inspect cartridge
- 3Replace cartridge or full diverter spindle
- 4Reassemble, lubricate, run test cycle
Materials we use
Brass diverter spindles, ceramic or rubber cartridges per brand, food-grade silicone grease, replacement o-rings.
Typical duration
30–45 minutes per diverter.
Safety & quality
We support the spout and shower arm so they do not torque the wall fitting during disassembly.
